You guys.

Go look at the horrible things this girl is saying about gays.

“I don’t think they should adopt kids and teach them to live a sinful lifestyle.”

I can’t fucking deal.

Normally don’t bother with these, but I felt obligated to respond.

FUCKING THANK YOU. See? Someone else gets it, too. Normally, I wouldn’t put two posts of the same exact relevance right after each other, but I wanted to show the world that you can be logical if you try, too! Beardbot got it.

The big difference: Oreo’s poster was simply a wall post on its Facebook account. It did not donate money to taking away or hindering the advancement of civil rights. Chick-Fil-A, on the other hand, donated (at least) $5 million to anti-gay groups, “reparative” therapy groups (which the American Psychological Association have condemned), and most terrifying of all, the Family Research Council, an organization that used Chick-Fil-A’s donations to sponsor a bill in Ugandan legislature that was aptly named the “Kill the Gays” bill. This is not an issue of free speech. This is not an issue of religious freedom. This isn’t about “political beliefs”. It’s about the government’s duty to stop discrimination, in all of its forms. This is about equality. So fuck you and your greasy chicken sandwiches. I hope you enjoy your hardened arteries and heart disease.

My favorite thing is when conservative Republicans say “WAKE UP PEOPLE” followed by some ridiculous scenario that is supposedly going to “take away (their) rights”, usually backed up with hyperbolic reasoning and outlandish claims that Obama is a non-citizen, socialist out to get white, cisgendered, heterosexual Christians…

a ponderance

serial-cereal-eater:

to the dudes and dudettes who are defending chick-fil-a:

if the guy said that, as a company, they don’t support interracial marriage based on their christian values, would you still defend that? or if he said that families led by single mothers are “weaker” than a two-parent family?

i’m really not sure how these are much different than same-sex marriage, seeing as how they’re all “unconventional” and stuff.

but then again, you can agree it’s not ok to be racist and it’s not ok to be sexist (most of the time, anyway). why can’t you agree that homophobia is just as wrong?

There is nothing worse than a closeted, self-hating homo. I give him a year…

I’m calling it now.
