The musical is over.
My last musical on my school’s stage. My last performance ever at my high school. I nearly cried during intermission because I knew it was half way over. I will miss everyone in my thespian troupe next year, and I am so glad that I’ve had the opportunity to grow with them over the past few years.
Well…
Tonight was the second performance of our school musical, and it went very well despite several technical difficulties among other problems as well. Our soundboard has a loose wire, and in the middle of me singing a high note in “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” the speakers blasted as loud as they possibly could. I almost blew the speaker, and I thought it was my fault. But it wasn’t. So yeah. Good show tonight.

Just got home from dress rehearsal.
Mascara and eyeliner running down my face, gel in my fucking hair, tired, sweaty, vocal cords strained, feet hurting, and muscles tense. I’m so ready for this show to be over with. Performance week is finally here. I love theatre.
